Qatar Red Crescent mission arrived in Nepal to provide emergency relief for the floods affected communities

Qatar Red Crescent QRC mission arrived in Nepal to provide emergency relief for the communities recently hit by floods, the support is a donation from Qatar Fund for Development in coordination with Qatar Red Crescent. QRC has allocated 250,000 US Dollars from the disaster response fund for the initial intervention, as well as sending an specialized team from the QRC’s section of Relief and International Development, to contribute to the humanitarian efforts to help affected families and reduce the losses.




The state of Qatar informs ICAO of siege countries' TV channels intimidation of airline passengers

The State of Qatar has handed an official message to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) pertaining to the violations made by the countries imposing siege on Qatar through their satellite TV channels aiming to intimidate airline passengers. The State of Qatar's permanent office at the ICAO in Montreal, Canada handed the message to the ICAO Secretary-General, Board President and representatives of member states, pointing to the report broadcasted by Al Arabiya TV, a Saudi channel based in Dubai, UAE on August 9.


Foreign Ministry Surprised at Saudi Restriction of Qatari Pilgrims' Transport to Saudi Airlines

The Foreign Ministry has expressed its surprise at the announcement by Saudi Arabia to limit the transfer of Qatari pilgrims to Saudi Arabian Airlines only. HE Foreign Ministry's Information Office Director, Ambassador Ahmed bin Saeed Al Rumaihi said Monday in a statement that limiting the transfer of Qatari pilgrims to Saudi Arabian Airlines only is unprecedented, illogical, surprising and contravenes the teachings of Islam, which urge the facilitation of performing this duty to all Muslims.



Qatar Waives Entry Visa Requirements for Citizens of 80 Countries

Mr. Hassan Al Ibrahim head of Tourism Development Sector at the state of Qatar’s Tourism Authority announced in a press conference yesterday 9 August 2017 along with Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, Mr. Akbar Al Baker and Brigadier Mohammed Al Ateeq, Director General of the Department of Passport and Expatriates Affairs, that the state of Qatar will allow visa-free entry for citizens of 80 countries.
