Entertainment destinations in Nepal are limited, but there are several tourist sights, ancient temples, museums and popular markets in the capital city of Kathmandu. The city of Pokhara is 20 minutes away from Kathmandu by flight and between 5-6 hours by road due to the rugged roads. There are also the districts of Chitwan and Nagarkot and many other tourist destinations that are distinguished for their natural sights, moderate weather, diverse cultures and several festivals. These include:

     this city enjoys enchanting nature and beauty. It is surrounded by the Himalaya mountains – whose summits are always covered by snow – serene lakes and green spaces which make the city a destination for those who seek relaxation.

  • Chitwan

    its name means the heart of the jungle. It is famous for wildlife adventures such as elephant safari, bird surveillance, and walking into the jungle and other activities.

  • Lumbini

    is the hometown of Buddha. It is located in the Terai plain region. It is one of the most famous worshipping sites for Buddhists and is visited by around 400,000 pilgrims annually. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has a great significance both religiously and monumentally.

  • Janakpur

    the birthplace of Janaki or Sita, wife of Lord Rama. It is considered to be one of the key Buddhist religious locations in the Terai region to the south of central Nepal.

  • Mount Everest

    is located in northeastern Nepal. A 10-day walking tour from medium-height summits towards the summit of Mount Everest (world’s highest mountain) is a good opportunity to get familiar with the everyday life of the Sherpa people.

  • Annapurna

    is located in north western Nepal. It is famous for being the best route for tourist trips around the world. The region is known for its contrasts as it includes wet, dry and other places.

  • Langtang Region

    is the nearest tourist destination to the capital city of Kathmandu. It combines natural beauty with cultural richness.

  • National Parks

  • these are reserves for threatened animals and plants. It includes 3 wildlife reserves, one hunting reserve, 6 conservation areas and 11 buffer zones.
