The Qatari Embassy in Kathmandu was officially opened on September 10, 2012; when His Excellency Mr. Ahmed Jassim Al-Hamar submitted his credentials to the Nepalese President, His Excellency Mr. Ram Baran Yadav, as Qatar’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal.

HE Mr. Al-Hamar is the first Qatari ambassador-in-residence to the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal after he served as Qatar’s accredited ambassador-in-residence to India and ambassador-at-large to the Federal Republic of Nepal.
