It is with profound sorrow and deep sadness that the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Kathmandu mourns the passing of His Highness the Father Amir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, who returned to the mercy of Almighty Allah on the morning of Sunday, 12 July 2026.

We pray to Almighty Allah to envelop him in His boundless mercy, grant him a place in His spacious Paradise, and reward him abundantly for all that he devoted to the service of the nation.

Indeed, to Allah we belong, and to Him we shall return.
